WHY IS PAPER TOWEL METHOD BETTER THAN SOIL GERMINATION for seeds

Seeds don’t require any nutrition to sprout. All that they need is a medium that can hold enough moisture. Turns out that the Paper towel is a better medium than the popular “soil” medium to sprout seeds.

In this method, we sow seeds in tissue paper. Here are  some very good reasons for you to try paper towel method:

1. Saves Space: There’s only so much you can plant in your garden. When you sow seeds in soil, you are using your valuable garden space for something that might not even grow. On the other hand, the paper towel method tests the viability of seeds without using your garden space. Also, when the seedlings are ready, you can make the most of your garden space by only using the healthy seedlings.

2. Faster Germination: Soil contains pathogens that affect germination. Since paper towels are free from such troubles, more seeds sprout in no time.

3. Own Greenhouse: The Ziploc bag used with paper towel prevents moisture from escaping which is essential for germination. This ensures your seeds grow in the right environment. Also, this allows you to keep a track of your seeds without any disturbance

With the saved space, you can have more fun in your garden. Why don’t you give our microgreen seeds a shot? They are incredibly nutritious and make delightful breakfasts and salads. Check out our entire collection below.
